Other Competitions
Club uniform is compulsory. Junior participants must wear their age patch and Seniors their registration numbers at all of the following competitions.
We strongly encourage all registered athletes to compete in these various competitions.
They get a sense of belonging to the club, competition improves their performance and they meet athletes from other clubs and develop ongoing friendships.
Mid-South Canterbury Inter Club Events:

Colgate Games:
South and North Island games are held each year in early January for the 7 - 14 grades.
The South Island Colgate Games are being held in Christchurch, 17-19th January 2020.
Athletes come from South Island Clubs and some from North Island Clubs.
(North Island Colgate Games 10-12 January 2020)
Competition is over 3 days and events are run like a mini Olympic games with a March Past of teams on Day 1. Medals are presented to 10 - 14 grades and ribbons and pennants presented to 7 - 9 grades on a podium.
Athletes can enter a maximum of five events plus a relay. The relays are selected by Club Team Managers (and relay fees paid by the Club).
Cost: $6.00 per event *** updated cost
Entries: Entries to be in by mid November.

Selection for the Canterbury Team for National Track & Field Championships is finalised after senior championships.
You are able to compete at National Track & Field Champs as a South Canterbury Club athlete if you are not selected for the Canterbury team.

A two-day event (Sat and Sun).
This is another highlight of the athletic calendar for the 7 - 14 year olds. From this meet, as well as from performances throughout the season, the provincial representatives for Canterbury are selected.

Cost: $20.00 Canterbury registration fee
Entries: Pre-entered online - payment of $1.00 per event. (Entries and payment required mid February)
